.DISCUSSION...

Scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms are possible
during the afternoon and evening today. Weak upper ridging
aloft will limit coverage of showers, but will be on the way
out today. The best chance in the area will be to the southwest
of the site in Virginia. Patchy fog could develop late tonight
into early Wednesday morning, but is more likely west of the
Blue Ridge and Catoctins.

A warm front lifts into the region on Wednesday, bringing with
it numerous showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and
evening. Shower activity likely lingers into the overnight. A
cold front arrives Thursday morning.

Light onshore flow (E/SE) today will increase out of the south
on Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper
80s Tuesday and a few degrees cooler on Wednesday. Low
temperatures will be in the 60s to low 70s on Tuesday night
and a bit warmer Wednesday night with the warm front.
