...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWEST WAYNE...SOUTHERN
NASH...WEST CENTRAL EDGECOMBE...WILSON AND JOHNSTON COUNTIES THROUGH
1145 PM EDT...

At 1038 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Nashville to 10 miles southwest of Bailey
to 8 miles north of Benson. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and heavy downpours.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Smithfield, Nashville, Wilson, Elm City, Fremont,
Bailey, Micro, Selma, and Sharpsburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms and may lead to
localized flooding. Slow down, and do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.
