...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN GUILFORD COUNTY
THROUGH 645 PM EDT...

At 538 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
McLeansville, or 9 miles southeast of Greensboro. This thunderstorm
was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain and up to half inch
         hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Heavy rain may lead to localized
flooding in poor drainage locations. Minor hail damage to
         vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greensboro, McLeansville, Gibsonville, Pleasant Garden, Lake Guilford
Mackintosh Marina, and Forest Oaks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Very heavy rain can be expected due to the slow movement of this
storm. Prolonged heavy rain will result in ponding of water on
roadways, standing water in low lying areas, and minor flooding of
creeks and streams. Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra
caution to avoid hydroplaning.
