...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following
  county, Dallas.

* WHEN...Until 815 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 211 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - This includes the following low water crossings...
    Lindley Creek at Mathis Road, Four Mile Creek at Highway P,
    Dry Fork at Highway P and Opposum Creek at Bannon Road.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Buffalo, Louisburg, Plad, Windyville, Pumpkin Center, Long
    Lane, Charity, March, Foose and Bennett Spring State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
