If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...Winds will increase a bit today ahead of an approaching weather disturbance. Lingering moisture and increasing instability will also allow for scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop over and near the burn site this afternoon. Gusty outflow winds will be the biggest threat. While outflow winds will be erratic in direction, east to southeasterly will be favored as storms are expected to develop along the higher ridgeline to the east. The stronger storms and training of storms will bring a potential for localized wetting rain, although this will be hit or miss for the burn site itself. A weak cold front will sag into the area tomorrow. This will bring a slight cooling trend and a more northerly component to winds for tomorrow. Isolated showers and thunderstorms remain possible for tomorrow, although this comes with a decreased chance of wetting rain as the airmass starts to trend drier. Warm and dry conditions can then be expected for the midweek timeframe. .TODAY...
