...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN WALTON AND SOUTHWESTERN
HOLMES COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM CDT...

At 351 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northwest of De Funiak Springs to 8
miles north of Eglin Air Force Base to 10 miles southeast of
Crestview. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
De Funiak Springs, Eglin Air Force Base, Union, Liberty, Ponce De
Leon, Westville, Oakwood Hills, Alpine Heights, Cerrogordo,
Prosperity, Gritney, Arrant Settlement, De Funiak Spring Airport,
Pleasant Hill, Pleasant Ridge, Center Ridge, New Home, Hickory Hill,
Piney Grove, and Baker Settlement.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
