...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN HENRY COUNTY THROUGH
145 PM CDT...

At 100 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Texasville, or 11 miles northwest of Abbeville, moving east at 15
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Abbeville, Screamer, Walter F. George Lock And Dam, Coates, Edwin,
Thomas Mill Creek, Otho, Scottsboro Crossroads, Double Bridges,
Lawrenceville, and Abbeville Municipal A/P.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
