...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN FRANKLIN...ANDERSON...
SOUTHEASTERN OSAGE...COFFEY AND SOUTHEASTERN LYON COUNTIES THROUGH
115 AM CDT...

At 1243 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 3 miles east of Melvern to 3 miles northeast of
New Strawn to 6 miles southeast of Madison. Movement was east at 40
mph.

HAZARD...Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects and
         vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Garnett, Burlington, Lyndon, Pomona, Waverly, Richmond, Colony, New
Strawn, Quenemo, Melvern, Gridley, Greeley, Lane, Westphalia, Olivet,
Beto Junction, Harris, John Redmond Reservoir, and Le Roy.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 152 and 169.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for
east central Kansas.
