At 1126 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly east of a
line from Bartlesville to McAlester. Thunderstorms with locally
heavy rain were located in Haskell and Sequoyah counties in Oklahoma
and Madison county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Fort
Smith area. Movement was to the east at around 35 mph. The average
amount where it rained last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an
inch with maximum amounts of three quarters to around an inch.
Intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast
for late this morning and early this afternoon, cloudy, a chance of
showers and thunderstorms with temperatures 64 to 74 degrees and
northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
