...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL CHAVES COUNTY THROUGH 530
PM MDT...

At 446 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 15 miles southwest of Dexter, or 19 miles south of
Roswell, moving southwest at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Roswell, Dexter, Hagerman, Bottomless Lakes State Park, Lake Arthur,
Greenfield, Roswell Correctional Facility, and Midway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
