New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Weak high pressure will
prevail S of the waters today before shifting SE and E of the
waters tonight. A cold front will slowly approach from the NW
Fri, then move SE across the waters Fri night into Sat as
developing low pressure passes SE and then E of the area. High
pressure will build NW of the area, over New England Sat night
before slowly moving SE across the waters Sun into Mon. The high
will clear E and SE of the area late Mon and Mon night while
maintaining a ridge just to the S of the waters.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...S to SW winds 5 to 15 kt, increasing to 10 to 20 kt.
Seas 2 to 4 ft.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas becoming 3 to 6 ft. Slight
chance of showers with vsby 1 nm or less.
.FRI...SW winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming S 15 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to
6 ft. Chance of showers with vsby 1 nm or less.
.FRI NIGHT...S winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming S to SW 5 to 10 kt.
Seas 3 to 6 ft. Chance of showers and tstms with vsby 1 nm or
less.
.SAT...E to NE winds less than 10 kt, becoming N 10 to 20 kt.
