New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A weak low pressure area will
track NE over the gulf of Maine this afternoon with a trailing
cold front moving E and SE over the waters. A series of low
pressure troughs will cross the area tonight and Mon. The next
cold front will approach the coast later Mon, with the front
drifting slowly offshore Mon night into Tue while weakening. Weak
high pressure will form just N and W of the area Tue night into
Wed as low pressure develops S of the waters. The low will pass E
of the area Wed night as a weak ridge of high pressure prevails
over New England. The ridge axis will move E over the waters Thu,
and slide E of the area by Thu night as yet another cold front
approaches from the W.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...S winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming W to SW 15 to 25 kt. Seas
3 to 5 ft. Showers likely.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, becoming W to SW 10 to 20 kt.
Seas 3 to 6 ft. Chance of showers.
.MON...W winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming S to SW 5 to 15 kt. Seas
