The areas affected include... Anegada Passage east of Virgin Gorda and Saint Croix south to 17N... Atlantic Waters of Puerto Rico AND USVI from 10 NM to 19.5N... Caribbean Waters of Puerto Rico from 10 NM to 17N, including the Coastal Waters of Saint Croix... Coastal Waters OF Northwestern Puerto Rico out 10 NM... Coastal Waters east of Puerto Rico, around Vieques, and around and just north of Culebra and Saint John... Coastal Waters from Cabo San Juan to the waters between Anegada Island and Virgin Gorda and North 10 NM... Coastal Waters of Northern Puerto Rico out 10 NM... Mona Passage Southward to 17N... At 243 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and frequent lightning. Waterspouts are possible. These thunderstorms were located over the waters between the US Virgin Islands, Vieques, Culebra and eastern Puerto Rico, the Mona Passage, and over the local Atlantic waters, moving north at 10 knots.
