.DISCUSSION...High pressure has weakened some over Utah this
morning, allowing some moisture to return to the state, primarily
over northern Utah. A shortwave will move across northern and
central Utah this afternoon into the early evening, bringing
showers and thunderstorms primarily to areas north of the burn
site. Still, there is a 20 percent chance of a shower impacting
the site this afternoon. Given the very dry lower levels, the
primary threats with any storms that develop will be dry lightning
and gusty and erratic winds. The moisture will remain in place
tomorrow but without a shortwave, overall coverage will be much
less, with only a 10 percent chance of seeing a shower at the burn
site tomorrow afternoon.
