At 1228 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly south and
east of a line from Oklahoma City to Bartlesville. Thunderstorms
with locally heavy rain were located in Ottawa, Delaware and Craig
counties in Oklahoma. Movement was to the east at greater than 40
mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was one tenth to
one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two and a half to
three inches. Intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa
area forecast for late tonight, mostly cloudy then becoming partly
cloudy, a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms
may be severe .
