At 1028 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain generally in
northwest Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma south of I44. Thunderstorms
with locally heavy rain were located in Madison, Carroll and
Washington counties in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the
Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville area. Movement was to the east
at around 35 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was
around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two to two and
a half inches. Coverage and intensity remained about the same as
last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late this morning and into
this afternoon, cloudy, a chance of showers and thunderstorms with
temperatures 63 to 72 degrees and northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
