305 FNUS55 KBOU 112141 FWFBOU Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO 341 PM MDT Tue Jun 11 2024 .DISCUSSION...Tonight and Wednesday... Hot weather will spread into the area tomorrow as a ridge of high pressure builds across the region. Humidities will drop into the 10 to 16 percent range across most of the plains, with teens in most of the mountains, foothills, and high valleys. It will be a little breezy during the afternoon in the mountains and high valleys, but no significant fire weather conditions are expected. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday night through Sunday...Hot and mostly dry conditions are possible Thursday with slightly cooler temperatures across the far northeastern plains due to the passage of a weak cold front. Relative humidities could drop as low as 12-17 percent across the plains along and south of I-70 Thursday afternoon. Winds should remain light and under warning criteria thus, keeping fire weather conditions marginal. By Friday, scattered to numerous showers and storms are expected. Very good to excellent smoke dispersal is expected on Thursday across the forecast area. ...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds... ...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds... ...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid... ...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone groups and may not match the actual forecast values shown in those groups...
