682 FZUS63 KMQT 291356 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 956 AM EDT Wed May 29 2024 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 30.3 ridge is over Lake Superior this morning and will remain over the Upper Great Lakes through Thursday. This high slowly moves towards the rest of the lower Great Lakes region beginning late Thursday, reaching the Mid Atlantic states by Friday night at 30.2 inches. Ridging over Lake Superior weakens to 29.9 inches by Saturday night and remains in place through Sunday. On Sunday night, a 29.6 low pressure will lift northeast from the Northern Plains into Ontario.
