.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1201 AM CST Wed Dec 10 2025

Apart from Thursday (due to a reinforcing surge of high pressure),
above normal temperatures are expected with limited moisture
available. As we head into the weekend, another cold front should be
making its way across the region. While confidence is on the higher
side of a cold front passage, confidence remains on the lower end in
regards to timing and strength of the front as models continue to
struggle with it. At the minimum, at least near normal temperatures
will be expected to return early next week. As for rain, limited
moisture will keep rain chances near zero percent through the end
of the work week before low (20-30%) chances for rain return late
this weekend as moisture increases ahead of our next cold front.
While moisture levels will be low, enough shallow moisture will be
available to promote fog development beginning early tomorrow
morning and continuing through late week.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 533 AM CST Wed Dec 10 2025

Other than ALI/VCT experiencing varying fog vsby reductions
ranging from LIFR to MVFR, the rest of the terminals are in VFR.
Expect fog to be completely dissipated by 15Z, leading to VFR
conditions across all of South Texas under some upper-level
clouds. A weak cold front will pass through later this afternoon
into evening, shifting light winds likely under 12 knots out of
the north to northeast. The drier air in the wake will reduce fog
chances for Thursday morning.

&&

.MARINE...
Issued at 1201 AM CST Wed Dec 10 2025

A gentle to moderate southwest breeze (BF 3-4) tomorrow will shift
to the northeast Wednesday night as a reinforcing surge of high
pressure moves into the region. Onshore winds are expected to return
Thursday evening into Thursday night and continue into the weekend.
Rain chances will remain low (less than 10%) through the end of the
work week before 20-30% chances for showers return this weekend
across the Gulf waters.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 1201 AM CST Wed Dec 10 2025

Minimum relative humidity values will dip below 30% through
Wednesday across portions of the Brush Country. However, due to
generally low ERCs in the 50-70th percentile and weak winds of 5-10
mph, elevated fire weather conditions remain negligible at this time.
