Lows will generally be in the 30s. The leading edge of an area of rain will enter the Southwest corner of the state just before daybreak Tuesday and spread over the Western Half of Pennsylvania by around the noon hour. High temperatures Tuesday will range from the mid 40s to the mid 50s. Although the rain will be steadiest during the day on Tuesday, periods of rain and drizzle will continue Tuesday night and Wednesday. Temperatures will trend milder into midweek and peak 10 to 15 degrees above the historical average on Wednesday with highs in the low 50s to low 60s. Conditions will turn much colder and windy from Thanksgiving Day into the holiday weekend. Brisk and blustery winds will add a significant chill to the below normal temperatures. The arrival of much colder air crossing the Great Lakes will ramp up the potential for lake effect snow accumulation along the Lake Erie shoreline into the snowbelts of northwestern Pennsylvania. Several inches of lake effect snow and snow showers penetrating farther inland could impact holiday travel across central and western portions of the Commonwealth Thursday into Saturday. $$
