Lake effect rain and snow showers will redevelop this morning and continue into the evening, primarily along and north of I-80. Highs today will range from the upper 30s in the northern tier to low 50s in south central and southeast Pennsylvania. Lake effect showers taper off on Thursday as high pressure slowly builds in. Temperatures will gradually moderate through the weekend, trending above average on Saturday and Sunday. Another weather system will bring rain and perhaps some thunderstorms on Saturday before a cold front ushers in a stretch of cooler weather with renewed lake effect showers early next week. $$
