A compact and rather potent upper level disturbance moved
southeast across Pennsylvania overnight bringing rain to the
southern tier counties and a several hour period of wet snow with
accumulations of a coating to 2 inches across the region, about
25 miles either side of Route 322 in Central PA. Lighter snowfall
amounts occurred to the North of Interstate 80.

Expect the precipitation to exit the eastern counties around
sunrise.

Skies will stay generally cloudy across Central and Southern
Pennsylvania this morning followed by partly to mostly sunny skies
to the northeast of the Route 322 corridor, with mostly cloudy to
overcast conditions persisting across the Southwestern third of
the state.

High temperatures today will range from the low to mid 40s over
the northern half of the state, to the upper 40s across the
southern tier counties.

A layer of fairly thick, mid and high level clouds will return for
tonight and linger on Thursday with overnight lows varying from
the low to mid 20s in the north, and upper 20s to low 30s over the
southern half of the state.

Thursday should be up a few degrees milder in all areas.
