Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
552 PM EST Sat Nov 15 2025

Showers and a few thunderstorms will move across the region
tonight as a potent cold front approaches from the Ohio Valley.
Isolated strong to damaging wind gusts are possible in the
strongest storms, primarily west of US-219.

In the wake of the cold front, gusty west to northwest winds
between 35 and 45 mph will develop late tonight through Sunday.
Some gusts Sunday afternoon and evening could be around 50 mph.
Peak wind gusts will decrease by about 10 mph on Monday, but it
will still be quite windy.

Noticeably colder air will push into the region with lake effect
snow showers setting up oriented northwest to southeast Sunday
through Monday evening. Significant snowfall is possible in
northwest PA from persistent lake effect bands that could stay
over a given area for 6+ hours. Accumulating snow is most likely
along and north of I-80, but light snowfall is possible as far
southeast as the I-81 corridor.
