.SHORT TERM...
(Tonight through Tuesday night)
Issued at 1129 PM CST Sun Nov 2 2025

Light winds and clear skies overnight will lead to another crisp and
cool Monday morning with lows in the 40s to low 50s. Light south
winds of 5 to 10 mph developing later today will not be enough to
raise the dew points, and another night of decoupled winds should
make the Tuesday morning low only a degree or two warmer than what
is expected this morning. Mid to upper level ridging develops
quickly over TX today, allowing for abundant sunshine and a return
to high temperatures near seasonal normals if not a degree or two
warmer. High pressure ridge begins to flatten late Tuesday, which
should allow for a slight bump in south winds by late in the day,
but another warm and dry day will allow the high temperatures to
warm an extra degree or three over those for today.

&&

.LONG TERM...
(Wednesday through next Monday)
Issued at 1129 PM CST Sun Nov 2 2025

Mid-week winds continue to slowly increase and bring warmer dew
point temperatures to pick up min temperatures to where both the
maxes and mins remain warmer than normal for the rest of the work
week. A very dry layer remains above the boundary layer, so South
Central TX may only see brief pockets of overnight clouds or fog by
Wednesday morning, with perhaps a better signal for low stratus over
the weekend. There looks to be a dry front for Sunday with some
blustery winds making for some fire weather concerns.

&&

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 1129 PM CST Sun Nov 2 2025

Winds will remain light and variable through the night with VFR
ceilings expected. Southerly to southeasterly winds are expected
Monday, but less than 10 kts with the exception being at DRT where
some 10-15 winds out of the southeast are expected for the
afternoon hours.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 1129 PM CST Sun Nov 2 2025

Cool morning air and mostly light winds are expected through Monday.
A gradual warming trend is anticipated resume for much of the
upcoming work week as high pressure aloft builds in from the west.
Light winds the next few days will allow for good RH recoveries in
the morning and minimums mainly in the 30 to 45 percent range
through mid-week. Western counties could see the RH minimums fall
into the 20-25 percent range Friday into the weekend. A dry cold
front expected Sunday could lead to critical fire weather conditions
for some areas.
