.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGES:
- An overall ridging pattern will keep temperatures above normal
this week with minimal chances for any measurable precipitation.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW:
Following a weak surface cold frontal passage, today and Wednesday
will be not as warm for most locations. More ridging will occur
Thursday and Friday to bring widespread highs in the 60s as long
as there is some sun during peak heating. An upper level trough
will move into the western CONUS on Friday that marks the start of
a gradual trend towards cooler temperatures and increased
precipitation chances, but almost none of the guidance currently
presents a significant or abnormal pattern change for the middle
of November.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS:
Besides adding some detail and strength to post-frontal winds
today, no deviations were made. There is high confidence in
temperatures to be moderately above normal through the end of the
week. There is low to moderate confidence on the occurrence and
placement of light rain or snow showers late in the week.
