...DATA FROM SOME NORTH CAROLINA SURFACE OBSERVING SYSTEMS WILL BE
UNAVAILABLE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD...

Due to a communications network outage in the Federal Aviation
Administration, data from some observing systems in western North
Carolina will be unavailable for an extended period...perhaps for as
long as a month. Although the National Weather Service is a user of
this data, the automated systems and their communications lines are not
maintained by the Weather Service.

Observation sites impacted in the Greenville-Spartanburg County
Warning and Forecast Area are:

Franklin (K1A5)
Jackson County/Cullowhee (K24A)
Lincolnton (KIPJ)
Morganton/Lenoir (KMRN)
Rutherfordton (KFQD)
