A strong cold front moved through the region this morning and
brought some light snow accumulations to portions of central and
northern Kansas. This front also brought gusty winds to Kansas as
most of the state saw peak gusts of 40-50 mph. As the storm system
continues to swing into the Midwest winds across the Plains states
will slowly diminish this evening. High temperatures today

front with temperatures steadily dropping behind it. Northwest
Kansas say temperatures in the lower 30s while southeast Kansas
was near 50 degrees.

Temperatures will continue to drop tonight as surface high
pressure slides south out of Canada. Temperatures by Sunday
morning will be in the lower 20s across northeast Oklahoma to the
upper single digits across southwest Nebraska. While winds will be
weakening northerly winds around 10 mph will make it feel even
colder with wind chills in the single digits to lower teens across
most of the Central Plains.

Temperatures will remain cold on Sunday only warming to the upper
20s across northeast Colorado to the mid 30s across southwest
Missouri under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
