Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
423 PM CDT Tue Jun 18 2024

It was a partly cloudy, warm, and very windy day across central and
eastern Kansas this afternoon. High temperatures generally ranged
from the middle to upper 80s, with a few locations in north central
Kansas reaching into the lower 90s.

A line of storms that developed this afternoon continues to make its
way across portions of eastern Nebraska and western and north
central Kansas. This is anticipated to slowly make its way east
through the evening and overnight hours. The primary threat with
these storms will be large hail up to ping pong balls this evening,
but will evolve into a wind and flood threat overnight with gusts up
to 70 mph and locally heavy rainfall possible with the strongest
storms. Lows tonight will range from the low to middle 50s across
Nebraska to the low 70s across the Red River Valley.

Showers and storms are expected to persist across central Kansas on
Wednesday. For the Central Plains, afternoon high temperatures are
expected to be mild and in the middle 60s across Nebraska, while
warmer highs approaching 90 degrees are forecast from the Red River
Valley to the Ozark Plateau.
