Fire Weather Planning Forecast for S MS and SE LA
National Weather Service New Orleans LA
641 PM CDT Fri Sep 12 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Dry high pressure will remain in control of the area weather.
With afternoon mixing, dewpoints are forecast to drop into the
low to mid 60s most locations for at least the next few days.
Combined with afternoon temperatures in the low to mid 90s,
minimum RV values are forecast to drop to near or below 35%
across most inland areas each afternoon through at least Tuesday.
Closer to the coast, sea and lake breeze influences will help
keep relative humidity above 35%. No fog expected for at least
the next few days.
