WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: An upper-level area of low pressure will
move southward, just off the coast of California this afternoon
and tonight. This cyclone aloft will approached the coast of
Southern California Saturday. The upper-level area of low pressure
will pivot northward toward Central Nevada Saturday night. This
will be the first of several atmospheric impulses to impact
Northern and Central Nevada Saturday evening through Monday night.
Precipitation will spread northward across Central and Northern
Nevada Saturday evening. Periods of precipitation are expected
throughout Northern and Central Nevada Saturday night through
Monday night. Snow levels will start at around 10,000 feet
Saturday evening, before dropping to about 6,000 feet Monday
night. Light snow is expected over passes and summits along
Highway 50 and Interstate 80 east of Elko Sunday evening through
Monday night. Here are probabilities of rain amounts of one half
of an inch or more for select locations in Northern and Central
Nevada from 4 PM PST Saturday, November 14th, 2025 until 4 AM PST
Monday, November 16th, 2025:

McDermitt - 57%
Lamoille - 52%
Winnemucca - 51%
Battle Mountain - 50%
Carlin - 48%
Spring Creek - 41%
Elko - 34%

Much cooler weather is in store for the service area Sunday and
Monday. High temperatures throughout Northern and Central Nevada
Sunday afternoon will be around ten degrees cooler than Saturday
afternoon. Maximum temperatures across Northern and Central Nevada
Monday afternoon will be a couple of degrees below normal for
this time of year. The next storm system may impact the Silver
State Thursday.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: High forecast confidence
regarding unseasonably warm temperatures today and Saturday. High
forecast confidence in periods of rain in the valleys of Northern
and Central Nevada Saturday evening through Monday night. Moderate
forecast confidence regarding light snow on passes and summits
Sunday evening through Monday night. Moderate forecast confidence
in much cooler temperatures Sunday and Monday.

Intermittent MVFR ceilings are expected at KTPH this afternoon.
Otherwise, VFR conditions will prevail at all terminals this
afternoon through at least Saturday morning.
