Updated at 1211 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025 - No hazardous weather is expected in the forecast period. - Temperatures warm up into the work week, once again reaching above- normal values. - Despite the onset of another prolonged dry stretch, afternoon RH values should remain sufficiently high to prevent any fire weather concerns. && .SHORT TERM... (Rest of today through Saturday) Issued at 1211 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025 Clouds associated with a low pressure system and attending cold front are beginning to inch closer to the mid-state this afternoon. We do not expect any precipitation from the cold front, as it should stall out north of our area. However, some clouds can be expected into tomorrow morning. Patchy fog could be a hazard for some parts of middle Tennessee on the weekend, appearing after midnight and lasting into the early morning. Temperatures through the weekend will be closer to what we expect for this time of year: chilly nights and days where you need a jacket in the morning and evening but sweat in the afternoon. && .LONG TERM... (Saturday Night through next Friday) Issued at 1211 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025 Into the work week, a high pressure system is forecasted to be the dominant feature, leading to the increase in our temperatures. They will level off in the low 80s for highs by mid-week, with morning lows in the low to mid 50s. High pressure also means no precipitation in the forecast for the period, so things will remain dry. This pattern looks to extend into late October, with below- normal rainfall and above-normal temperatures forecasted for middle Tennessee by the CPC. Despite the dry environment, minimum RH is forecasted to stay around 50% during the day, so we are not concerned with fire weather at this time. && .AVIATION... (18Z TAFS) Issued at 1211 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025 Quiet weather will continue through the TAF period with mainly VFR conditions. There is a low chance (10-30%) for patchy fog between 9 and 12z mainly for areas outside of Nashville. Otherwise we will see SCT to BKN clouds 050-100 through Saturday morning. Winds will be light and variable under 5 knots. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
