Breezy/gusty north to northeasterly winds are expected behind the front overnight into Wednesday morning. Winds are expected to decrease Wednesday afternoon as sfc high settles into the region. (Wednesday night through Friday night) Issued at 1208 AM CST Wed Dec 10 2025 Winds are expected to shift back towards the south Wednesday night with southwesterly winds once again on Thursday. The southwest winds combined with mostly sunny skies and downslope flow will lead to another warm (highs in 60s to low 70s) day on Thursday with temperatures once again 10 to 15 degrees above average. Models show a 90-100 knot 500 mb jet moving across the northern Plains which will cause another weak front to move across the area Thursday night into Friday.
