.SYNOPSIS...
A strong atmospheric system will continue to bring periods of
heavy rain and gusty winds to western Washington through
Wednesday. Widespread significant river flooding is underway and
is expected to continue through much of the week. Minor coastal
flooding due to astronomical high tides will also pose concerns
for the northern Salish Sea coastlines through much of the week.
Wet and unsettled conditions will continue through the forecast
period.

.IMPACTS...Stormy weather will create difficult backcountry
skiing and mountaineering conditions across much of the alpine
terrain of Mt. Rainier, including the Muir snowfield. Blizzard-
like conditions with strong winds and near zero visibility are
likely. A high level of skill and experience in alpine terrain,
including use of GPS, is recommended for navigation and camping in
these conditions.

morning. A slight chance of snow in the morning. Rain through the
day. Snow in the afternoon. Rain may be heavy at times in the
afternoon. Snow accumulation near Paradise up to 2 inches. Snow
level near 7000 feet.
.MONDAY NIGHT...Breezy. Rain and snow. Areas of fog after
midnight. Precipitation may be heavy at times. Snow accumulation
near Paradise of 1 to 3 inches. Snow level near 7500 feet.
.TUESDAY...Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain and snow. Areas of
fog and freezing fog in the afternoon. Snow accumulation near
Paradise of 1 to 3 inches. Total snow accumulation near Paradise
2 to 8 inches. Snow level near 3500 feet increasing to 5500 feet
in the afternoon.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...Breezy. Rain and snow. Areas of fog in the
evening. Patchy fog after midnight. Rain may be heavy at times.
