- Gusty southwest winds becoming west to northwest later this
  morning at 25 to 35 mph.

- Near to above average temperatures through Friday. The warmest
  temperatures will be focused across the south and west with
  highs in the 50s.

- Cooler temperatures settle into the are Friday night through
  Sunday, with the coldest temperatures on Sunday. Minimum wind
  chills on Sunday morning dip into the single digits to teens.

- Dry through most of the period with precipitation chances less
  than 10%.

.SHORT TERM /THROUGH THURSDAY/...

High clouds are still situated over us tonight with
southwesterly winds still gusting up to 25 mph at times. The
cold front is just to our north currently going through central
MO. Winds flip out of the northwest later this morning and will
continue to gust up to 30 mph through the afternoon especially
over the eastern Ozarks. Skies will be mostly sunny today with
highs reaching the mid 40s to lower 50s. Winds diminish tonight
as the low pressure system heads east and skies will start to
get cloudy once again ahead of the next system. Lows tonight
will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Winds turn southwesterly and gust up to 20 mph again on
Thursday ahead of the next surface low. Skies will remain partly
cloudy through the day and a warm front moves through making it
feel mild with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Winds stay
elevated through Thursday night and clouds stick around as well
as lows sit in the mid 30s.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY/...

The cold front is getting pushed later and later still. Now, the
cold front isn`t expected to move through until Friday
afternoon. Therefore, Friday will still feel warm with highs
reaching the upper 40s to lower 50s. Winds will start out
southerly then flip northerly and gust up to 20 mph. Another
stronger front will pass through on Saturday. Saturday will
feature another shot of cold air in the evening hours and the
daytime highs will be mild in the mid 40s to lower 50s. The
stronger CAA finally reaches us Saturday night with lows sitting
in the teens and lower 20s with single digit wind chills.
Sunday will be chilly with highs only reaching the 30s, but
skies start to clear out as surface high pressure starts to move
in.

The start of next week has a 15-20% chance for rain on Tuesday as
a departing low tries to bring us a few rain showers.
Confidence is low for any widespread rain at this time.
Temperatures and precipitation chances are still low confidence
as guidance tries to get a handle on the placement of the next
system.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z THURSDAY/...

High confidence in VFR conditions prevailing through the TAF
period. Northwest winds continue to gust through the afternoon,
before tapering off this evening. Wind gusts approach 25 to 35
knots. Winds become light and variable overnight, before
turning back out of the south-southwest on Thursday morning.
Additionally, some cloud cover overspreads the area through
tonight.
