.SHORT TERM...
(This afternoon through Friday)
Issued at 1137 AM CST Thu Nov 27 2025

Quiet weather expected tonight, with light easterly winds becoming
more southerly by Friday morning. Clouds will also be on the
increase as low level flow advects Gulf moisture into the area,
with low clouds likely covering the entire west central Texas area
by sunrise Friday. As lee troughing occurs to our north, surface
winds will increase to 15 to 20 mph, with gusts up to around 25
mph out of the south by early afternoon. A relatively weak
shortwave will move across the area in the upper levels, resulting
in low (20% to 30%) chances for scattered showers, from late
morning through the afternoon. Although it will be cloud,
temperatures will warm into the upper 50s to lower 60s, after
lows in the 40s tonight.

.LONG TERM...
(Friday night through next Thursday)
Issued at 124 PM CST Thu Nov 27 2025

Look for an upper level pattern change which will bring a colder
airmass early next week into our area. Our area will be in the warm
sector Saturday morning with dryline moving across the area. The
best low level moisture/weak instability plume will be across the
eastern 1/3 of the area. As a result, going with low to medium
chances Pops(20-50%) of showers and a few thunderstorms across
much of the area Friday night and Saturday morning.

A strong cold front will move south across our area Late Saturday
morning through early Saturday evening. Expect much cooler
temperatures early next week as a modified shallow arctic airmass
moves south. Highs will be in the 40s and 50s Sunday through
Tuesday. The coldest morning with sub freezing temperatures will be
Tuesday with lows in the 20s. Temperatures will slowly warm by the
middle of next week with highs in the 60s Wednesday and lows mainly
above freezing next Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Going with
mainly a dry forecast through the rest of the long term.
