Low clouds blanketed much of Kansas overnight, with areas of light
rain and drizzle affecting the eastern part of the state. Early
morning temperatures ranged from the middle 30s in the west, to
the middle to upper 40s in the east.

A low pressure system over eastern Kansas early this morning, will
move slowly east into Missouri today, reaching the western Ohio
Valley by late tonight. Areas of light rain and drizzle will
affect eastern Kansas into Missouri and southern Iowa today. Brisk
northwesterly winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 to 35 mph
will be common throughout the region today, with clouds clearing
only over the High Plains. Highs this afternoon will be mainly in
the upper 40s to lower 50s where clouds linger, to the 60s over
the High Plains.

Winds will diminish tonight with a few scattered light rain
showers lingering in Missouri, with partial clearing in Kansas and
Oklahoma. Lows will be in the upper 30s to middle 40s.
