...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM CDT
FOR NORTHERN MITCHELL...SOUTHWESTERN JEWELL...SOUTHEASTERN SMITH AND
NORTHEASTERN OSBORNE COUNTIES...

At 654 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cawker City, or
19 miles west of Beloit, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Golf ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage
         to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northern Mitchell, southwestern Jewell, southeastern Smith and
northeastern Osborne Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Hastings.
