This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

Day 1 Discussion

Elevated fire weather conditions are possible today, particularly across far southwest
Kansas. This is in association with very warm temperatures and fairly strong downslope
southwest winds. Burning is highly discouraged.

* Non-thunderstorm wind: Elevated risk
* Fog: Limited risk
* Fire weather: Elevated risk

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Another elevated fire danger day is possible over the weekend.
Northwest winds will be strong, however, relative humidities will
be higher in the wake of a strong cold front.
