This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

Areas of frost are expected through sunrise, with temperatures
in the 30s.

South to southeast winds will increase today to the 15 to 25 mph
range, with gusts of 30 to 35 mph. With relative humidity falling
to the 30 to 35% range, there is a limited risk of wildfire spread
this afternoon.

Day 1 Hazards
* Frost: Significant risk
* Fire weather: Limited risk

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Thursday and Friday will be dry with no hazards.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected across the eastern zones
Friday night through Saturday night. Some of these thunderstorms
may be severe with large hail and damaging winds, particularly
across the southeast zones Saturday evening.

A strong cold front will bring strong northwest winds Saturday
night, followed by much cooler temperatures on Sunday.

Temperatures will fall into the 30s again on Monday morning.

  - Lightning: Elevated risk
  - Severe thunderstorms: Elevated risk
