This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible across west central and
portions of southwest Kansas late this afternoon and evening. The
main threat will be locally heavy rainfall, increasing the potential
for flooding in low lying areas and ponding on roadways. Stronger
storms will be capable of producing small hail and gusty winds up
to 50 mph.

* Flooding: Limited risk
* Lightning: Elevated risk
* Excessive heat: Limited risk

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

A few thunderstorms will be possible Sunday. However the potential
for any severe weather is low. Hotter temperatures are likely toward
the middle part of next week with highs potentially reaching near
the century mark in some locations.
