This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

Patchy fog is possible across the eastern counties this morning.
Much warmer temperatures will allow for limited fire danger across
far southwest Kansas this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Much warmer temperatures are expected on Wednesday. Elevated fire
danger is expected across the western counties Wednesday
afternoon, with west winds of 15-25 mph and relative humidity
falling below 20%. The most elevated fire weather conditions are
expected west of a Scott City-Garden City-Liberal line.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected across the eastern counties
Wednesday evening. Some of these storms may be severe, with the
primary threat being large hail. The risk of thunderstorms is
expected to remain east of a Wakeeney-Jetmore-Ashland line
Wednesday evening.

A strong storm system is expected to produce rain showers and
thunderstorms on Friday. The threat of severe weather on Friday is
minimal.

Frost is possible Sunday morning as temperatures fall into the
30s.
