  FISHER COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...
  JONES COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...
  NORTHWESTERN SHACKELFORD COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...

* UNTIL 330 AM CDT

* AT 1230 AM CDT THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL RATES
  OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR WERE AFFECTING FISHER...CENTRAL AND
  NORTHERN JONES COUNTY...AND WESTERN SHACKELFORD COUNTY. THIS
  RAINFALL WILL RESULT IN QUICK RUNOFF FROM AREA CREEKS AND STREAMS
  AND LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLOODING.

* IMPACTS FROM THIS HEAVY RAINFALL WILL INCLUDE:
  FLOODING OF LOW LYING ROADS AND INTERSECTIONS.
  FLOODING OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS...AVOID THESE AREAS.
  RAPID RISE OF AREA CREEKS...STREAMS...AND ARROYOS.

  COUNTY ROAD 260 CROSSING HARMONY CREEK...
  COUNTY ROAD 261 CROSSING COTTONWOOD CREEK...
  CROSSINGS ALONG COUNTY ROAD 141...
  COUNTY ROAD 242 CROSSING FLAG BRANCH...
AND OTHER LOW LYING AND FLOOD PRONE PORTIONS OF FISHER...JONES AND
SHACKELFORD COUNTIES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER ON COUNTRY ROADS AND
FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS.
