765 FZUS61 KBUF 051339 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 939 AM EDT Sun May 5 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.6 inch low will remain in the vicinity of Hudson Bay, with a cold front trailing this low crossing the lake tonight. A 30.1 inch high will then build into the upper Great Lakes tonight and Monday before weakening and drifting to southern Quebec and New England Tuesday. A 29.5 inch low over the mid section of the nation Wednesday will move to lower Michigan by Thursday.
