...Nine Consecutive Days With Measurable Snow is a Record...

Since the calendar switched to February, it has been frequent
snowfall. So frequent in fact, that there has been measurable
snow in Chicago and Rockford on each day during the nine day
stretch from February 3 through February 11.

For Chicago, this ties the record of nine straight days with
measurable snow set on January 6-14, 2009 and January 29-February
6, 1902. Chicago records for snowfall date back to 1885.

For Rockford, this breaks the record seven days in a row set
twice during January 1994. Those stretches were January 1-7 and
January 24-30. Rockford records for snowfall date back to 1905.
