.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions are expected across the San Luis
Valley once again on Wednesday.

Warmer and more dry conditions are forecast to continue into the
weekend, with a more impactful and widespread fire danger event
expected for Thursday and Friday ahead of an approaching low
pressure system.

Ventilation rates will degrade to Poor by 2100 this evening.
Surface-based inversions will begin to break by 0800 tomorrow
morning, with smoke dispersion improving to Excellent for the
higher terrain, and Very Good for the plains, by 1200. Favorable
ventilation rates will remain in place until between 1900 and
2000. Excellent smoke dispersion is anticipated for the entire
district on Thursday.
