This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota,
central South Dakota, north central South Dakota and northeast
South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Snow will overspread the region today and persist into tonight.
There may be a lull in the snowfall this afternoon across portions of
the area before snow ramps back up again this evening/overnight.
Easterly winds will gust over 30 mph today, and approach 40 mph by
this evening, creating areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Moderate to heavy snow will continue over eastern portions of the
area Monday into Monday night. Forecast snow accumulations have
decreased over the past 24 to 48 hours, but could still exceed one
foot over northeast South Dakota (Glacial Lakes and Sisseton Hills
region) into west central Minnesota. Strong winds gusting from 40 to
55 mph from the north will persist Monday into Monday night, creating
areas of low visibility and hazardous travel.
