...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

IN 1960, HEAVY SNOW FELL ACROSS THE TRI-STATE AREA. THE HEAVIEST SNOW
FELL ACROSS EASTERN COLORADO WHERE BETWEEN 8 AND 10 INCHES WAS
REPORTED. FURTHER EAST IN KANSAS AND SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA, SNOW
AMOUNTS WERE BETWEEN 4 AND 8 INCHES. NORTHEAST WINDS AT 15 TO
25 MPH ALSO BLEW DURING THE DAY WHICH PRODUCED BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.
