A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING MEANS A THUNDERSTORM WITH DAMAGING
WINDS OR LARGE HAIL HAS BEEN DETECTED BY DOPPLER RADAR...OR OBSERVED
BY STORM SPOTTERS. IF YOU ARE NEAR OR IN THE PATH OF A SEVERE STORM...
TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTIONS TO PROTECT YOUR LIFE AND PROPERTY.

IN OPEN COUNTRY...SEEK SHELTER...AND AVOID TREES WHICH CAN BE TARGETS
FOR LIGHTNING...OR KNOCKED OVER BY STRONG WINDS. IF THERE IS NO
SHELTER...GO TO A DITCH OR CULVERT...BUT BEWARE OF RISING WATER.

WHEN INDOORS...STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

IF HIGH WINDS THREATEN...AND YOU ARE IN A MOBILE HOME...YOU SHOULD
LEAVE AND SEEK NEARBY SHELTER IN A STURDY BUILDING.

IF SWIMMING...OR ON A BOAT...GET TO SHORE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE
AND FIND SHELTER.

REMEMBER ALSO...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH
LITTLE OR NO WARNING.
