A ridge of high pressure was situated across Kansas resulting in
unseasonably cool conditions. Under mostly clear skies, predawn
temperatures ranged from the 30s over much of Central and Western
Kansas to the mid 40s over Southeast Kansas.

Clouds will increase from west to east across the state today with
light westerly winds and a slight chance for storms later in the
day. Afternoon highs will return to more seasonable values ranging
from the upper 60s across Northwest Kansas to the low to mid 70s
near the Oklahoma state line.

An approaching storm system will bring a chance for showers and
storms tonight. Low temperatures will range from the mid 40s over
Northwest Kansas to the mid 50s in South Central Kansas.
