Another mild September day was observed across Kansas with dense
cirrus clouds impacting much of eastern Kansas. Afternoon highs
ranged from the lower 90s in western Kansas to the upper 70s and
lower 80s over eastern Kansas.

Tranquil conditions will prevail across the state tonight with low
temperatures dropping in to the 50s.

Southerly winds will return to much of the state on Wednesday
allowing unseasonably warm air to return to the area. Afternoon
temperatures will rise into the mid and upper 90s across portions of
central and western Kansas while eastern Kansas will see  highs in
the mid and upper 80s.
