CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT WEST TO NORTHWEST PREVAILED ACROSS THE REGION
OVERNIGHT...AS A WEAK SURFACE TROUGH PROGRESSED OVER MID-AMERICA.
PREDAWN TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF KANSAS WERE IN THE
20S AND 30S.

WARM TEMPERATURES WILL PREVAIL REGIONWIDE TODAY...PARTLY DUE TO
BREEZY WESTERLY DOWNSLOPE WINDS. AFTERNOON HIGHS WILL REACH THE 50S
AND 60S...ABOUT 15 TO 20 DEGREES WARMER THAN SEASONAL NORMALS. MID-
LEVEL CLOUDS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE
APPROACHES FROM THE NORTH...WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR SPRINKLES OVER
NORTHWEST KANSAS THIS AFTERNOON.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR SCATTERED AREAS OF LIGHT RAIN AFFECTING MAINLY
NORTHEAST KANSAS TONIGHT. OTHERWISE...BREEZY WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS
WILL CONTINUE...WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS DIPPING INTO THE 30S.
