Welcome relief from the Summer heat was felt across central and
eastern Kansas this afternoon. Only a few isolated showers were
noted with a partly to mostly sunny sky over most of the area.
Late afternoon temperatures ranged from the mid 80s to the lower
90s.

The best chance for showers and thunderstorms tonight and Saturday
will reside across the Ozarks, Oklahoma and southwest Kansas.
Isolated storms will be possible across the rest of the heartland,
though most areas will remain dry.

Low temperatures tonight will fall into the 60s or lower 70s with
highs on Saturday in the 80s or lower 90s.
