Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
500 PM CDT FRI JUL 22 2016

A cluster of thunderstorms developed over North-Central Kansas this
afternoon but they were neither strong nor severe. This Friday was
definitely Fry Day for Central and South-Central Kansas where most
areas were torched by highs from 105 to 110. In sharp contrast was
North-Central Kansas where highs reached around 90 as south winds
from 15 to 25 mph prevailed.

Scattered thunderstorms will light up skies across Northern Kansas
and Nebraska tonight near a weak stationary front. It`ll obviously
be warm with lows in the mid and upper 70s forecast for most areas.

Scattered thunderstorms will develop late Saturday afternoon from
Western Nebraska to Northwest Kansas as a cold front approaches.
No doubt it`ll continue to be hot as most areas get torched by 100
to 105 degree highs. Not surprisingly excessive Heat Warnings are
in effect for most areas.
